A Movement Made Personal
Alliance Against Violence is a community-driven initiative built to support efforts that reduce gun and domestic violence and promote mental health awareness. Each styled fundraising event is designed to feel personal and purposeful, giving participants the chance to connect, reflect, and give in a way that feels authentic. Proceeds directly benefit prevention and awareness organizations chosen by the participating host or talent.
The Need for Action
Gun violence impacts everyday places like college campuses, high schools, houses of worship, recreation, and local businesses. It’s not distant; it’s part of our communities.
Domestic violence impacts many people of all ages, genders, races, and sexualities. Victims need trusted places to go for support, and more prevention efforts must be enacted.
Self-harm and suicide are becoming more prominent every day. Resources and initiatives for mental health awareness must advance to help our world.
Alliance Against Violence exists because education, advocacy, and consistent community actions are essential to creating meaningful change.
These causes feel personal to me, and they are a commitment I carry every day.
Meet Rayna Stern
Hi. I’m Rayna Stern, a freshman at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Over the past few years, I have organized fundraising events, including a gala and several silent auctions, generating over $30,000 for Orange Ribbons for Jaime. These efforts were made possible by the power of community, collaboration, and a shared belief that everyone has a role in making a difference. However, the rise of many types of violences have been prevalent in our society. I hope to continue my mission in reducing gun violence, but also in advocating against other avenues of violence.
